I received some e-mails asking how to win backstage passes so I wanted to clarify a few things. You can indeed win backstage passes, usually either through a radio contest or through a band's fan club. However, to be frank, not only are those contests pretty rare but your chances at winning are pretty slim.

The bottom line is that you shouldn't count on this if you want to see a show for sure. Rather than waiting to win, you should buy a ticket or, even better, get backstage passes yourself, which you can do by following the easy steps shown here ...

Are you looking for Metallica tickets? Some of you asked me where they could find the best Metallica tickets, so here a few recommendations:

Here is by far the best site for Metallica Tickets. Why? Because not only you probably already have an account with them but also because they are safe (you can see ratings and testimonials) and have the biggest selection of Metallica tickets ...

Stubhub isn't bad either. They are safe and have a good selection of tickets.

Craigslist is another popular option but, with all the ticket scams going on, I would be very careful and would recommend instead using one of the two previous options.

Shoegazer masters. My Bloody Valentine, have announced the dates for their US tour. This is certainly an event as the band hasn't played since the 90's and hasn't yet delivered an official full-length follow-up to its masterpiece, Loveless.
